What is Cyber Monday? Unlike Black Friday, which takes place the day after Thanksgiving and sees big in-store discounts, Cyber Monday is an online-only event. So, don't expect a repetition of the chaos that swept the nation on Friday as bargain hunters pushed their way to a cheap telly.

Amazon said that Black Friday was the busiest day ever on its UK website, with more than 5.5 million items ordered at a rate of 64 items a second, beating last year's Cyber Monday record of more than 4 million items.
